Frequent light snow showers this afternoon and one short heavy one between 1635 and 1650 which gave a covering of 1.5cm. A few more light showers since that one but nothing added to the depth.

5cm's on grass and other favoured locations now, 2-3cm's on pavements and minor roads, some still closed.

PPN has been much more frequent (almost 3 hours non-stop) since dusk but alot lighter than before, too.

Just for the record. Snow flurries from 1pm. Heavy shower around 5pm that left a covering. Further showers since. Now around 1.5cm lying.

Moderate snow falling here now... looks like the showers will be fairly frequent for this area throughout the night now. -1.2C but feels more like -5C.

Some drifting, too.

Heaviest snow of the Easterly just began to fall, 5cm's on grass and 2-3cm's on pavements before this. Showers packing in now and intensifying as they do, expecting several hours of heavy snow showers passing through now. Fully expecting at least 10cm's by dawn, perhaps a little less on ill-favoured areas like pavements.

Snow just keeps getting heavier and heavier with every shower that passes through... fast approaching the highest snowfall amounts this area has seen in over 5 years!

Must have been snowing since 5am here. About half to 1cm has now settled. It is still snowing but only half hartedly. Enough to build a snowman though :D
