well thats dissapointing nice 1 day snow event then rain comes down from the north and melts it away gutted,

i think christmas here on the south coast will be well above average but yes models are favouring the north.

nice one i have to wait another 20 years for a chance of a white christmas glade i did not put a bet on now.

but still hopefully the outlook for jan will be special for the whole of the uk.:)

Worth remembering that we are still in December - recently I have looked to Jan / Feb for snow and we already have plenty here.

My limited knowledge and what I read from others suggests we enjoy the weekend (existing or new snow) and see what happens next week - personally I think I'll see snow Xmas day even if its lying snow

I'm not getting downbeat on one run

As said earlier I think FI is Monday at the moment. Nobody knows what's going to happen as earlier as Monday so to be discussing what'll happen Friday... well, may aswell start reading the seaweed or the entrails of animals.

Just watched bbc weather he said theres no end of the cold weather in sight. Considering you all seem to think a mild xmas in the south, the met office dont think so.

Dredful for us in terms of snowfall so far on the GFS.

UKMO saves the day yet again for the Midlands with -5 maintained tonight and the warm front not getting North of London.

What the hell is wrong with the GFS , it's just a total mess.

UKMO rescues the day again for the midlands. :yahoo:

Fantastic chart, 60hours shows heavy snow stalled over us then gradually dying out but could get almost a day of nonestop snow!

Im not sure why the GFS is constantly showing the very mildest weather?!?

its been to the pub to much sherry!!!
