But what will win, the cold or warm. The million dollar question

All depends on whether it's night or day (although right now we are about to hit the shortest day) and how strong the cold block is (again the block is pretty strong at the moment) - so things are looking good for any lows which come up from the south and hit the cold air!!!!!
