Bit of a dropped catch by Heather the Weather last night. The synoptics were screaming East coast/Central belt impact but she emphasised it as more of a NE Scotland impact.

Exact same here...must be the same showers towards inverurie as we are having here in banchory

Yea, if so you could be just about to get another biggie! I'll try to get a picture when it's in full flow this time

have now found an Inverurie Webcam, and I'm actually on the other side of Bennachie, due east, from it

Are you getting lots of snow in Leith then??

seems to have ground to a halt here and all but gone on roads/pavements.

Same here, its stopped. Its still very marginal at street level, basically wet and raw. I expect its probably only sticking in the higher parts of the city ...

Rest of the day though ... depends on ongoing E/NE feed ... continued convection ... drop in dew points/upper air temps. Gut feeling it will amount to little or nothing in town itself over the next 24 hours ... the radar looks pretty patchy. If it had been Jan, Feb or March though we'd have been laughing in this setup. Oh well, lets see what the day brings :-)
