Please use this thread to have a good old chat about the prospects for something wintry in The Yorkshire

    and Pennine region :D

Ooo I'm glad to see these regional chats back.

They were fun and interesting last year :)

Pouring with rain most of the day here.

Waiting for the turn to something more wintry soon.

    BL.

I'm not in Yorkshire yet but will be for Christmas - here's hoping it will be to a winter wonderland!

    Hi BL

Yes, the Regional threads were a great success last winter, so we have decided to reintroduce them again.

Fingers crossed, we will get through lots of threads for our area. :D

    Brian :)

Still wet and miserable here. Hey PIT...... As well as having a great summer sheffield storm shield do you have a show shield too? :)

We allways tend to do very well here at darton top for snow showers from the NE

I'm expecting a good few Cm's (no more than 5cm) by the end of the weekend. Perhaps enough snow on the ground for a snow ball fight but not enough for a snowman, would love to be proved wrong though! Saturday night looks the most interesting with that front moving south, should drop a few Cm's across our region! I think with snow cover its going to feel and be very cold, temps struggling around freezing with good overnight lows. Then a nice mild wash out just in time for xmas (only joking biggrin.gif)

Looks like there is snow falling in Buxton

    No surprises there then :yahoo:

Your link didn't seem to work for me so will post it here in case it doesn't work for anyone else :D

    http://www.buxtonweather.fsnet.co.uk/camera.html

Dew Point in Buxton is currently 0.4c with the temp 2.4c, compared to dew point of 3.6c and temp of 4.8c :D

Still they are around 30miles away on the western side of the pennies, but still :cray:

Hi Mark, I'm very confident,as I usually do quite well

    in these kind of situations.

I'll be very surprised if I'm not posting one or two Xmas style

pictures during the coming days. :D

    How about you?

I do tend to do well if the showers are fairly potent, if not then they die out just before hitting me :yahoo: Possible snow showers followed by a band of snow sat night isn't to bad though, and i to shall be hopefully posting some wintry scenes :D

    Where do I go?

Now now - don't be like that.

Am I Pennines, or the North West, or the North East? I'm feeling almost schizophrenic.

    You are welcome anywhere, OON

Why not post in all of those threads?
