We can allow measurements over short grass now - if it is good enough for the Met Office it is good enough for us. :drinks:

I always take an average of 3 measurements, and that is my snow depth.

7 cm of snow on the grass, 5cm on the wall, despite the Met Office forecasting 'light rain showers'!!

It has been snowing non-stop since 7 this evening, we are also experiencing gusts of winds upto 34.46mph, on flat surfaces it is about 3inches, on the windows where it's been blown against them its about a foot.

What a day for the heating to have decided to pack up, they hope to be here tomorrow..not sure about that at the moment.

Depths are approx 6" (due to drifting snow it was difficult to find an unaffected spot!) Unbelievable amount in a short time.
