Hail & snow showers getting a bit more regular this pm, we do seem a tadge south for the main shower activity, but at least we've got the first snow of the winter :yahoo: , going to be fun and games this evening for a few   .

Hopefully things will shift slowly south during the evening and night.

Hopefully, looking at things there is a more organised band in the N.Sea (trough development?), so a few are going to be well pleased. ;) .

;) I thought I'd get the bonnet in the shot as it's the area that has the most snow

Anyway, the showers are definitely becoming more frequent

Haha!!

Lovely flakes here now, only a short shower i suspect as the main activity is still out to the N sea. 6pm onwards is when we will see more showers pushing inland with good intensity.

The LP tightens and swings around, which should move the showers more South.

Just off to Morrisons anyone need out? lol

Be back shortly.

Lewis

That's not a bad Fax chart for Yorks & Lincs. ;) .

It was better before but still should give us something, before it was a little further NW of us.

Temperatures have just noise dived here and further north through the vale of york 3C to 0C in an hour!. Most of the snow will now settle, light covering on some surfaces already.

Ice is going to be a big issue!

Currently under another heavy graupel shower which is now turning everything white. Rather cold too, with a temperature of 0.2C and dewpoint of -3.5C.

Ive no idea how things are looking though as the radar appears to be down.

Isn't that always the case when things get interesting

Yea typically the radar keeps missing data in one of the busiest and best times of the year !

anyone got a link for that dutch radar that shows you most of the north sea?

Meteox is quite good, as is Raintoday

Looks like there are some quite heavy showers on the way for us, but at the moment they seem to be losing a degree of intensity as they hit the coast.

My village was without power for over 2hrs

this afternoon, that wasn't a lot of fun ! lol

Glad to have it back now in time for cooking dinner.

Brrr.

Zero outside now, icy and with a little laying graupel.

Strong bitter winds at times.

I shall be peeping at the lampost tonight.

Keep safe everyone.

BL

cheers mate. Ye but I think as the colder air digs in, more moisture should be picked up from the sea as convection increases
