I'm in the west end and it got really dark quickly and has come on heavy right away. Definately rain. Hopefully cold will dig in quickly behind it.

Heavy snow here lying on all surfaces. Hopefully some more to come from the northwest.

Not been on this forums for ages. Its raining here in Coatbridge! Temp is 4c now, it was -5c this morning! Anyway lets hope the cold air gets here soon.

That band has already passed through here....

It snowed heavily for half an hour, have a few cms and that's it really. I thought it would last a lot longer than that... oh well.

The first/main precip band is just starting to clear from here and it was rain all the way. Not a single bit of sleet, let alone any snow.

hopefully it will sink south pretty quickly just leaving us the cold northerly

Looks like the snow band clearing Aberdeen now.

band cleared - but there is another big blob of heavy shower over us right now Richard, it might reach Aberdeen too!

Pretty Dark overhead at the moment and raining quite heavily,im hoping that will turn to snow before to much longer

Glasgow airport reporting 5c just now. Warm sector is going to be a spoiler through the central-belt from Glasgow to Edinburgh. Steady rain here in Leith.

just back from CULZEAN CASTLE and am our snow and frost vanished in an hour temp gone up from 2*c when we left to temp now 7*c heres to tomorrow

Just got really dark in Coylton in Ayrshire, looking forward to the inevitable rain now...

The snow is really marginal just now across the central belt and the main band does seem to be fizzling out a bit as is usually the case here with northerlies although it will probably pep up again as it moves towards the border.

It was weird how quickly the weather changed there in Glasgow. Just before the front arrived it was calm and sunny and the temperature really started rising and then in no time it was dark with really blustery winds and heavy rain.

I'd expect the temperature to be going one way now - down.
