Well it just snowed here for about 15 minutes, stopped now. Got about 0.5cm, I said earlier we would probably get about 1-2c and 5cm if we was lucky... Well we wasn't lucky and the main precip has gone down the Eastern side AGAIN! Can't believe how lucky those Easterners really are. The band has a big gap in it over Leicester right now and then it's passed through... ABSOLUTE JOKE. Sugar dusting from this is CRAP.

Knew the temps werent a problem, just the PPN and the PPN has let us down.

Well, just been outside, and whilst the fresh snow left a 'dusting' underneath appears to be thawing.

If i'm to make a plug going on memory of the warm sector, is that East Anglia and East of the East Midlands have a good chance of a few cm of snow. West of East Midlands and the West Midlands are likely to see temp snow showers, more especially in the heavier ppn, but likely to see sleet and the odd bit of snow, with no real measurable amounts. The same really as it drops further south.

There's still later on tonight and tommrow for some heavy snow showers.

But it does suck tbh!

The roads/ground are wet now, so it'll need a hell of a temperature drop for anything to settle. Even by Shrewsbury standards getting nothing but rain from that band was amazing!

Well I now have a dusting of snow, nothing more. Looking at those showers in Scotland now, I can only hope that a few will come down the Irish Sea and the Cheshire Gap will save the day. If it does then I am creating a Cheshire Gap appreciation society...

** cue ironic laughter **....areas 20 miles to the SW reporting heavy snow...hmm..according to the experts, thats even further into the warm sector...diddly squat here, apart from drizzle.....well, thats British weather for ya!.....oh well, maybe the cheshire gap effect will surprise me, and I'll wake up to a covering by morning!
