The temp is not the issue here. -2.0C. I'm just hoping we have a decent spell of snow and then I can look forward to some very low max/minima.

The front seems to be intensifying further now on the western side. :wallbash:

Right, parts of the Midlands are now in the warning zone - Staffordshire, Stoke and Warwickshire, 5cm "in many locations". Let's hope they are right.

I think the rest of the West Midlands will be under the warning once the band intensifies further-if it does anymore that is!

So whats your predictions on amounts then andy?? I think people who are worried about temp in terms of what is falling out the sky dont need to, im worried about temp slightly because if its above 0 then we wont see as much stick around. Were only likely get 5cm at best and we need every last bit to stick around a while, especially if you want it to last till xmas, albeit thats an outside chance.

I reckon 2-5cm for Leicestershire.

Probably more 2cm than 5 though. I am not worried at all about the temperature, I just went upto the shop and it was absolute BITTER. 2 Weather stations that are 2 miles and 4 miles away from me are both reporting temperature of -1 and one is reporting dew point of -4 and the other says -3.6 anf the band really is not that far away now :drinks:

starting to get a bit concerned now as a few places up North are having rain or sleet.

And temp around 3.0

That's my weather station that is!

-0.7c here with a dew point of -2.4c and it is pretty cloudy, so it would take some warm up to prevent snow falling.

Did you not see the latest BBC forecast? Says that the band of snow will move around Norton Canes as it hits the snow shield.

Even higher here with a temp of 1 and dp of -0.5 . To think it was so cold this morning! Very marginal.

That honestly can't be right, Nick is as far West as you are but further North and he has a dew of -2 and ground temp of below 0. I have a ground temp of -1 to -2 with a dew of -3.3 and I am 30 miles North east. Can't be that much higher there surely? Give the Weather station a good smack
