I no tonight was a let down , i had 40mins of heavy snow , got 2cm lol at the most , now then . . . tomorrow ????????? The bbc weather shows a massive white area moving from wales through to the east of england , my bro saw it earlier and the bbc beeb on the we show it over wales at 3pm then i in the east at 1800 hrs i think , so that will hopefully deliver but in the mids we get let down time an time again so i dont no , but i would say artic westerly winds are the best chance we have to get features from troughs etc , ANY THOUGHTS PLS???? lol

Thanks cc_confused.gifcc_confused.gifcc_confused.gif

looks like the areas South west of Northampton are getting it bad.

Yes probably Banbury, Brackley and Towcester

Still snowing lightly in the NN2 district. It is a bit patchy at the moment but more to come according to radar. This is turning out to be better than I expected.

Very light rain here now, feels much warmer than earlier too. Also there is the distint sound of drip-drip outside as yesterdays lying snow starts to melt. :cc_confused:

For about 2 minutes then rain...over and out.

Was a total waste of time.... No covering at all.

I'm in NN4 Hunsbury, and its completely stopped now just light rain falling now. Wow, can't beleive that was it. Those guys south of Northamptonshire, I wouldn't get too excited. You'll be lucky if you 1cm. The radar looks far more impressive than it actually is.

Just started again. On the radar I notice some heavier stuff towards Brum which should sink towards us later. All fun and games.

Absolute rubbish here - about 15 mins of snow that was rain, then snow. A slight dusting and now stopped and melting!

Sadly not joking.

It was a non-event but for about 5 minutes.

Looking at the radar I think only Norfolk & Suffolk stand a chance of getting anything out of this.

I envy all those who are moanng about getting 1-2cm, or 20 mins of snow- all we had was rain. If it was a case of the cold air being to the east, why the hell is it snowing in Hereford/Worcs, and has been in Cheshire (nosing on the NW forum) when all I got was rain??????

That's what we had at first, but it moves through so quickly. Don't expect it hang around long at all.
