Lack of posts says it all really. Showers haven't really penetrated far inland at all.

Still snow on the ground with frost already. Fingers crossed that not all the showers go down the North Cahannel

Organised band coming down or clutching at straws?

Looks like an organised band to top us up overnight again, just for it to all disperse again come morning.

But wow, thats a very bright cloud band, must be VERY heavy precip in that.

All snows gone now here cept for nooks and crannys.....didn't have any snow showers since this morning unfortunately and temps rose to 3c, but back down again now to 1.5c.

Spent the night out with Mrs Dazza last night at her Christmas party in Antrim (Dunsilly Hotel), woke up to 4 - 5 inches snow, fantastic. Drove home to Stewartstown this morning and we only had about and inch, how disappointing!

Must also add, it has been a long time since I have seen a snow plough on the NI roads, but I managed to see 3, yes 3, on the stretch of the M2 from Antrim to Randalstown this morning (and for those whho don't know the road it is a strach of about 4 - 5 miles).

Very frosty and icy here in Belfast. Didn't get a great deal of snow. Maybe just under 2 inches. The showers all seem to be avoiding this part of Norn Iron.

I think the ppn will dramatically pick up as the low centre drifts South late tonight.

Eventhough the Met don't think so it is my educated guess that tomorrow could be a lot more showery than Met Eireann think.

In this type of setup, past experience comes to the fore.

Always surprise snowfalls that catch the Met out!

I'll be happy to eat humble pie if I'm wrong
