Anyone think i'll catch some of these showers? They will be WELL needed if the little snow and ice we have left is to last until christmas day. -1.0c here atm. Any snow will stick like super glue.

I for one dont want showers of superglue. Its clear overhead but clouds are start to build to west/southwest.

currently -1.0 and rising slowly.

Very odd. Temp has gone from -1.0c to -0.5c within 10 mins!

So do you think me and you may catch something?

Yep and it looks like ones over wales are ready to flow over and up that way too !.

-1.7 .. Just started to jumble now but way behind you James, sure your sensor is stuck in ice or snow ? :(

Heh if it was it would probably be warmer, quite insulatiing snow isn't it? besides you're the one that said your sensor is hangin outside from a block of flats :). I shall go and check with Terry my next door neighbour, -5.3°C here now.

Next door has a similar reading of -5°C on the mercury and -5.1°C on the digital.

I notice Woodford is -6°C already!

approaching cloud?

I'm actually hoping we don't get more snow and cloud tonight, I want bonechilling temperatures dammit! :(

>>>I can confirm Capel Curig is reporting HEAVY SNOW<<<

This is a good thing, with the track the precip is taking now, crossing the sea, it will reach here successfully!!

Come on the band don't dissipate now! It must be moving at about 3 miles an hour! Enthralling stuff who needs telly when you've got a radar! biggrin.gif

Edit: snowing in Holme - getting closer...

Should start here then soon.

Was snow for about 2 mins LOL, few clouds in a clear sky, just ice granules now, never mind, temp steady at the mo at -0.1c. The few flakes that fell did stick immediately due to frozen ground, so any further dusting tonight should lay, until the temp rises early doors.

Been snowing like this for a couple of hours now. I'm glad I put the light up outside the patio doors in the summer.

Picture 013.MOV

Temperature bang on freezing point, with the dew point at -0.7

Very impressive, I'd almost forgot what that white falling stuff was!

Very good clarity in the video clip by the way!

Why thank you....just my Canon compact camera, but it does a fair job.

Looks like there's another hour's worth heading my way, judging by the radar. Carlisle doesn't appear to be in the firing line for this belt of snow, but it might get something.

I've now got 5" lying in the garden.
