There you go palley!

Great find - adding this to my favorites!!!

Haha, so have I!

Definitely sleet here now rather than rain. Intervals of rain/sleet/snow and the temperature is holding steady at 1.0C. This reminds me of February 9th 2007. There were intervals of stuff all day and the temperature hovered around 0.5-1.0C but obviously the uppers didn't support actual snow despite it being cold enough for it.

I am making it 1.0c now on the outskirt's of Chelt...

DITTO!!

Thanks tommy, I found the radar - shame there is no precipitation type. I have just filled in the feedback form and suggested precipitation type and lightning detection - and UK wide hi res coverage :-)

I think that must have been the day it sleeted/snowed all day down here but up on the hills there were blizzards and a foot of snow. Perhaps I should go up again

As the temp's will fall more+slower means more snow depth

Mostly rain now, had some heavier bursts but I think it's just stopped.

Temp has gone up to 1.8c

We're going to be really borderline here - MetOffice have a warning for icy roads out in Worcestershire so we're in a reasonably good location (Worcs is in fact only about 10 miles away as the crow flies). I think the hills, however, are in for a pasting.

I'd go for snow in Ciren. Hope it is. Do let us know please -- I will definitely be taking a trip up Leckhampton Hill if it is snow in Cirencester!

Well, thunder, lightning and hail are all all making their appearance here in the easternmost parts of Dorset! As we're not getting snow, this'll do for entertainment!

Nothing but rain/hail here and at 1200-1400 feet. So it seems to be very marginal. That said, the pond is freezing over, the lower one never thawed, and there is some snow left.

I have heard that the snow that it started off as has turned to rain/sleet with a few flakes mixed in back home now nonono.gif

Did say that alot of snow still on ground though.

and the verdict is sleety rain PANTS :drinks:

oh without doubt it will start as rain, i would be majorly shocked if it just started snowing, just as the temps drop with the time and under heavy rain will aid rain into snow

The road outside the house is still dicy, and will be hell if it freezes tonight, and with the clouds clearing that looks a distinct possibility. I carried everything to the top of the hill to get in the car ready for the Christmas getaway tomorrow, which was nice on the ice. All good fun!

Might have to invest in a nice big 4x4 if this winter weather continues! haha!
