Temperature here just below freezing, partly cloudy skies, though I don't expect to see much in the way of snow. My thoughts are turning to next week, which could make this week seem like a mild blip!

The forward half of the system is rain and sleet indeed, though there appears to be snow falling towards its back end.

Light snow here now

Moderate-ish wet snow now falling, small flakes. Nice to see the rain disappear although I dread to think what the roads will be like at 6am when I'm off to do the Christmas food shop after the rain has frozen solid! It's not sticking to anything and I can't see it doing either; still, it's good to see some more snowfall for snow-starved Nantwich. :)

keeping clear skies here but some high cloud is visible, temp steady now at -2.5c DP -4c

unlucky the band is weakening as the temps over cumbria have really dropped -7 on shap now, we may get some showers cropping up and you never know they can intensify quite quickly, and hoping the wind will not change direction to west and bring the air off the sea !

Very, very, very, very, very light snow falling here.

First time I have had to call on 'lampost watch' duty. Not expecting much from the radar. It still feels cold enough for snow.
