I'm not understanding why it's not sticking properly. Very heavy snow over us looking at the radar which should cause it to stick on even the wettest ground but its not.

Can somebody answer why we have the met office, have mentioned before that they contradict themselves constantly on their own web page.

Just looked at Cardiff on their 5 day forecast not a mention of sleet just rain.

Look at the welsh map and there is a dirty great big cloud over Cardiff showing sleet.

This is paid for with taxpayers money.

big wet snowflakes here now, very wet

Just a damp squib here on low ground likely to stay that way now upper air temperatures are going to be increasing.

Had some wet snow on the hills earlier so didnt go without

Temperture sitting at 0.4c here waiting for that band of heavy snow being talked about in Barry to arrive, not doing much here.

Snowing here too, still (far) too wet to settle, both in terms of the wet snow and the wet ground.

There is more rain than snowflakes, even though the snowflakes are very big

Throwing in the towel here, it's just not sticking for whatever reason despite heavy dry snow. No accumulations here.

very heavy snow here in Cwmbran

Had about 5 cm's now on top of the earlier snow which started to turn to slush but all now covered up well...temp is 1.0C wind is picking up and its bitterly cold. If this stays snowing like this then the whole of Cwmbran will be yet again at another standstill this afternoon, all the new year shoppers and all the workers piling out trying to get home.
