You know, I found Steve M's reply to be rather rude. Some people on this forum are given too much credit, that's for sure. The 'Model Discussion' thread is in great need of an injection of realism. It's seems to be slowly deteriorating from 'Ramp Syndrome'. dry.gif

I agree Steve Murr's post was nothing but disrespectful for somebody who in a professional term is more knowledgeable than he is.

For once we agree about something Nick!

Good post in there.

Bloody hell, I need a sit down :whistling:

Anyway, I wonder how the BBC will see it tomorrow in Countryfile? Met Office are going for widespread snow showers for Tues and Wed, possibly prolonged and heavy, especially in the east of the region. I can't see them sticking their necks out too much though, but to be honest who can blame them?

Oh and bring on global warming, when the sea levels rise half of the south east will be underwater anyway :whistling:

What happened to tonight's trough anyway? That turned into a damp squib, in fact I don't think there is enough precipitation on it to make it a damp squib!

Hi all!

Good on you, Nick, for supporting our local and extremely knowledgeble weather presenter. Ian's been an absolute star in the SW forum this past week especially, showing us graphics that we wouldn't normally see and giving us bang uptodate forecasts.

By the way, ditch the fizzy apple juice, that you know as Strongbow, and sup a pint of the west country cloudy stuff! LOLrofl.gif

Cheers all.

Dont forget the BBC do the weeks forecast on Country Tracks in the old Countryfile 11:00-12:00am slot

Just read the posts in the model thread and i agree, Ian was totally right yet it was backlashed. I myself am fed up of the SE ramping. Its like they think they are the best and no one matters and its very tiresome of talking about it.

Big up the Midlands! :whistling:

Precisely. I think a professional BBC forecaster knows a bit more and has access to better data than a weather enthusiast! Will stick to the regional thread in the future though, at least the people in here are sociable...well some of them... :whistling::lol:

Nothing upwind of here at all now on our phantom trough.

Something will get as far as here one day that isn't rain!

Seems like the showers are coming in now on a easterly towards Leicester from the Wash.

Just had a slight dusting and hopefully a little bit more to come this evening.

Hmmm I think a Wash streamer may have set up.

That precip is moving in an E to W motion and looks like it could continue over me for a while yet, gave a dusting so far, more PPN to come soon by the looks of it. Hope everyone else sees some snow.

Never mind getting rid of the South East...i say flatten the Peak District and we might get something off a north easterly!

I want John Kettley to do it. Wearing a bright tie.

Too young to remember John Kettley doing BBC forecasts unfortunately :cray:

From my experience a wash streamer is good for Northants , but looking at the radar again...it's a non event tonight for us, just like this afternoon.

All the showers are moving E-W to my north.

today they was going NW-SE of me

Talk about missing out.aggressive.gif
