Didn't see the BBC forecast (I was catching up on here :drunk:) but it illustrates how the North Sea can turn into a snow machine given the right upper temperatures.

Yesterday I watched the radar in amazement as that Cheshire Gap streamer delivered a couple of hours of snow intermittently right across the country and got to me the other side around lunchtime, some 3/400 miles away. Please back off with the criticism of the dedicated and knowledgeable on here, my nasty side hopes the critics will prove totally correct — end up right, but snowless while the rest of us party. :drinks:

Those BBC forecast snapshots are amazing for the Beeb! Hopefully things will pan out quite nicely over this week after all.

Currently 1.1c with clear blue skies, feeling very cold with a light NNE wind.

Got some nice fluffy cumulus going by this morn slowly getting bigger. Looking at sat24 its streaming in in a very similar direction to the Thames streamer in Feb, not saying we will see anything like that but one can hope! Looking forward to next week.............

Not sure what happened there - didn#t mean to turn it into a twitter post - but nevertheless big flakes falling but having said that our total to date is probably less than 0.5cm on paths and cars etc.

steve, your 'best mate' IF (go on - smile) just posted an interesting meto chart for T84. seems that the metmen are rather concerned about tues onwards in th se. just how far se is the question. i reckon kent looks odds on whatever the sypnotic nuances that emerge.
