Min -3.3C here with clear skies and a good frost-getting difficult to see what is frost and what is the very very thin snow cover other than what was directly in the sun yesterday.

Wall to wall sun, but so chilly. Temps have risen to a warm -2.0c now, from around -3.7c at 8.30am this morning. I think the BBC's "might reach 1c today" is optimistic. Temp is rising at around 0.5c an hour so its going to take 4 hours at this rate to reach 0c and by then the sun will have set.

well I've manage a max over zero each day but the mean temp is currently at -0.3C for the first 4 days.

Its not often less than 1cm of snow lasts as long as this is doing-the sun leaving shapes of cars-even dustbins, where its not reached.

Unbroken sunshine, cloud out west over the coast. Is -3C. Just spoken to some folk who live in a valley nearby, they said it was -14C this morning!
