I've just watched the Look North (NE & Cumbria) forecast for tonight, and it seemed to have all the snow to the south of Cumbria. Is this band now not expected to drop anything over me?

the band is being sapped of all its energy, blame the highlands...

You've had your fair share :yahoo:

That patch seems to be just to the north of me - maybe a good thing with my increasing temps.

Where are you sleet at best in town centre

Just north of the football ground near the M6. Started off as rain then turned fairly quickly to snow here as it got heavier. Very wet though, although has left a slight covering on the car - which has now gone as its turned back to rain :wallbash:

Looks like most of the snow tonight at least in the foresable future is going to be for Irish Sea streamer setups.

Nice to see lowland areas of Lancashire seeing rain turn into something more wintry. :whistling:

Still, is anyone else concerned by the lack of warnings out for our region? Even an actual heavy snow warning is no guarantee that it won't rain round these parts.

I would say that it is about 100m at the most - I am at ~60m.

Just looked outside and it is actually very lightly snowing :whistling:

Temp has gone up to 1.3c and dp of 0.6c!

My sensor is near my pond - that small a mass of water wouldn't make the reading higher would it???

Maybe I am getting the lake snow effect :acute:

Starting to get a feeling that this isn't going to turn out as good has we planned. That band as weakened a lot over the Scottish highlands. :whistling:

We should look NW for intensity for this band

This will intensify more as it heads south.

its a carbon copy of saturday!

I really thought there would be no more marginal crap but yet again the irish sea is doing its best to screw us all over.

:yahoo:

Light snow here, I'm confident of seeing at least 3cm more of lying snow by the morning.

i WAS very confident but im beginning to waiver now.

At the very best its marginal for here methinks.

temp now at zero which is higher than gfs has progged so obviously the milder air is spreading right across the region even into the very east of the region.

backtrack has given up i think not seen him for ages on here.

:angry::sorry:

It's moderate snow here HD, I still feel the majority of us will do well out of this.

Sleet/Fine graupel has just begun here. Extremely fine to say the least.

EDIT: Light snow has begun.
