Croydon Borough is expecting snow from Tuesday night into Wednesday. Gritting teams have all been briefed regarding full time shifts. MetO's Weather Warning to the Croydon council is still valid to the above.

MetO have now sent in to the Croydon Council a Severe Weather Warning for this weekend :cold: It does look like we maybe in for a hammering. Yes, it has not happened yet, so let's take one step at a time, but it is exciting though.

So basically it looks like everywhere is going to get heavy snow over the next 24 hour except for EA & the SE?! Even later this week seems to look a bit uncertain.

Anyone see ITV News? Met Office spokesman on there was talking about how rare the set-up was with another two weeks and mentioned as bad as 1979!

Before we're all down-heartened by the 18z, remember that there's still a 00z, 06z and another 12z run to come out before the event actually happens.

HORRIBLE chart :whistling:

Don't worry about that chart. Take a look at the next set of snowy charts:

Do you have a link to the NAE at +48?

pretty much a complete disaster really, even out to the middle of next week we barely see a dusting here, while everyone else in the country will still have inches of lying snow!

The irony is that EA and the SE look like being completely left out of all the snow when we were supposed to be the worst affected.

Crumb of comfort comes from the GFS throwing wobblers left right and centre at the moment so i'm praying to heaven it was another one. . .

Your confidence is either admirable, or youre deliberately trying to wind people up. We know anything can happen, but we're within t24 of the event starting and our area is barely getting by with a dusting.

The 18z is a downgrade for our part of the world but its still not without interest, the GFS strengthens a front coming south and actually decent agreement with the NAE on this occuring over Essex and Kent as well so its something to watch out, esp if the main fun and games happens further west...

At least we have got something to watch, maybe even upto 5-7cms if the models are right...

Unfortunately for us in the home counties/south east/EA the agreement from all the models is for it to go west. The GFS earlier was out on a limb in sending it East anyway.
