Snow's arrived in Ashford. As to Steve M and others saying Ashford is about the E limit of the precip - well, we shall see.

I wouldnt want to be a wevva forecaster today! (It looks a diff scenario to predict, and changes every time I look at the radar, ie every 15 mins)

How people can people even hope to have this forecast in advance, when its so fluid, and the depression develops right over the top of us? (or actually a bit to the west, in the "Deep South")?

This snow is marching it's way steadily into cambrideshire - it is now literally just 20 miles to the South of St Ives - will it get here?? - any suggestions will be welcome.

Notice on the radar a band of showery snow/ppn moving up from Kent - you reckon that has our name on it?

Depends on how far west it gets pulled before it's journey North, think parts of Kent could get a surprise from that band as it still has nice intensity and the post from T Wells backs this up.

Also Dave yes my guesses could have a caveot of 20-30 miles North or South of that so Greater London could be in the mix for more substantial snow overnight

Just started snowing in Tunbridge Wells - nothing significant yet - but the main band is right behind!

Kold, well done - you were right about the more easterly track yesterday!

MM

Just down the road Mr M. My lampost (right outside our bedroom window) is still untroubled by any white flakes however....

Still wondering why EA and SE have been lumped together in one forum .....

I have been wondering that all winter. Nearly half the population of England and about a third of her land in one group.

Anybody want to give me any idea of what to expect for us lot in the East. Norwich in particular.

Nothing Tonight

Something, probably fairly light going through tomorrow

Then we have Thursday.... The start of some beefy showers and feeling bitter in the wind

And Friday, looks ( at the moment) like heavier showers

And Saturday ? -- see Friday

So Paul that band that is currently heading straight towards me you expect to stall and not make this far up?

Tough one as parts of Herts could be far enough South, the next 2 radar scans should tell us more about how far east the Low is getting.

It has been snowing for 2 hours here in Milton Keynes and there is an approx accumulation of 2cm's. The flakes are small and the snow is wet.
