Don't want to boast BUT here in South Redhill you cannot tell where the road ends and where the curbs start....and it is still very heavy snowfall. Well I did miss out on the the streamer last Feb!!!!! whistling.gif

Bone dry and the Estuary is doing its bit for down here

Temp has incresed from 0.4c an hour ago to sit at 1.7c at 2309

The worrying part is the dewpoint is now -0.5c from -3c about 2 hours ago so the estuary and the slight wind change here is making it harder by the minute, also the Iwade snow seems to have moved North West and keeping up in the dry slot.

Hi All,

Have been reading all day conflicted by the fact I NEED to go to work tomorrow as I was off sick today but would really like to have some white stuff.

Perhaps for a change i'll be wading into snow instead of out of it - depends on the underground i guess!!

Either way at least 5 layers of clothing topped by ski wear!:help:

Siding with the little/no snow for us here is essex (we're always the special ones).

Still sleety rain in Brighton but I don't think it will be long until we are back to snow again, We are the only patch of blue on the NW radar on the south coast!

Its turned into heavy, but very small flakes. Almost like pellets. Getting a decent covering now.

I do feel for you guys! It always seems that Stevenage gets allot more than Hertford / Ware. I think as the band moves north you will see 5-10cm between midnight and 3am.

It appears dry over London but that is actualy sleet due to the city warming effect. Expect it to turn to snow in the city soon though.

I was thinking exactly the same, just kept lurking.

There is about 3cm here im Milton Keynes, the snow is heavy but the flakes are like dust, no matter though, as soon as there is 2 inches everything grinds to a halt when the school run mums get stuck on a 2% incline!

Really massive flakes here now, it looks so good, just such a shame I have to go to work tomorrow, only 2 miles so have to walk, I really should be sledging :rolleyes:

Ah it's just playing with me now - the radar shows pink apart from a little hole around Southend and Westcliff which must be no more than a mile radius :rolleyes:

my mate works for southeastern in sevenoaks and is gonna try and get to work from eltham in his 18 yr old nissan.. for a 5am start tomz .. pure madness!!

Can't believe it. Snow right across the Thames Eastuary in Sheerness etc, and what do we get in Shoebury? Bloody sleet! Aaaarrggghhh. :rolleyes:
