That looks it for Leicester for tonight, as it is now pulling away to the west below us, maybe pick up some showers from the North East in the morning.

Could do with the PPN shifting a bit more northwards, but its a struggle. Still have barely 1cm on the ground. Snizzle not helping.

This is really annoying, Rushden is 5 miles too northeast.

Northampton should get a good covering though.

Same here. Stopped now, radar looks like we are just getting the top edge, which isnt very much at all nea.gif

really encoraging is the fact that the low is so slow moving, put your cursor in the middle of the spiral of the low and see how far it hasn't moved over the last 3 hours!

Not good eh? Only very very light snow at the minute here on the south-east edge of town... there is some heavier stuff just to the south around Bedford but I'm bothered we will just miss it! I brought stuff home with me just in case I had to work from home tomorrow.

Reports on the Metoffice site:

10cm in Portsmouth

15cm in Reading

14cm in Odiham (Hampshire isn't it???)

15-20cm in West Yorkshire

What the HELL is wrong with this town??? I haven't seen 15cm here for 14 years, only seen 10cm once since then. Portsmouth is as on-the-south-coast as you can get :drinks::drinks::drinks:

If you run this................................

To my untrained eyes that cloud thats moving up from the south looks like it will get quite a bit further north than some might expect before stalling and sinking away?? On its current track it looks like it could cover a good part of the Midlands before sinking.................?? Any thoughts peeps??????cc_confused.gif

ooooh, what part of north Birmingham are you located, if you don't mind me asking? I'm hoping some of that snowband reaches here too! Some light snowfall here now, which is a pleasant surprise!

Great Barr, we just need it to move North a little and we should get it, touch and go but im confident :drinks: What part are you?

do you think it will reach stoke????????????

think you are too far north to be honest, i think for most its a fairly light and patchy affair is this band. i wouldnt expect anymore decent accumulations for tonight tbh, though there may be some pleasant surprises. all eyes on thursday onwards now...

I have a horrible feeling that it will stall literally a few miles south of us. I keep running the radar loop over and over and over again, it is going to be a real struggle just to get the edge of this...

Well just looked out the window 22.21pm and it is still coming down thick and fast , I must be clinging on to the eastern side of the band by the thread of my teeth then .
