The GFS got this evening's event too far north, so I seriously doubt what it says. It is now moving directly west, so it looks like we will miss out completely on the major stuff.

Yep, even though GFS differs, looking at the radar, I agree with you.......lets see what happens to those showers streaming into the Scarborough area, hopefully they'll have enough 'ooompf' to top us up!

Even though the Radar would show otherwise, it's snowly lightly here. Birmingham is really picking out the scraps from that band of precip. After how the last few hours have gone, I'm very slightly optimistic for further snowfall, albeit moderate snowfall at best.

Ditto :D

Thats it, that band is not reaching Leicester. Nothing falling here and the radar shows that the band is now moving directly West and I am 5 miles too North :o

Oh well, an inch of snow werent too bad I suppose.

Better than me.

For 5 days Peterborough has had an advisory for 15-20cm on Tues. All we have seen is 0.3cm early this morning. The rest of the day has been dry without a single flake!

Still snowing here! That's 8 hours without stopping.

Same here. I thought I would've been in the 'gap', but it's still falling lightly. It doesn't matter as it still counts. Getting towards 13 hours!

Been snizzling here since the snow band moved away.

As for the other snow band, i reckon its moving north west and we should get something from it. Central and southern areas of Birmingham should get something too. The heaviest is over for us though and i i reckon it would just be another cm or 2 at best for these partss through the night.

What a day though! Far exceeded expectations!

Another example of the Met Office warnings not being up to scratch! Most of my snowfall (About 1.5" of it) fell when I didn't have a warning. You are better off not having one :good:

Previous models said Yes , Tonight's models say No . The way the weather is at the moment it will be a wait and see and watch the radar i'm afraid. Does look like we will be in quite a tight NE flow though.
