This is going to sound really bizzare but have you heard of this being launched late december by the russians. That apparently has shifted the whole eco system back to front from Canada to here and here to Canada.

Its well documented now what this experiment achieved.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1234430/Mystery-spiral-blue-light-display-hovers-Norway.html

I know its not a model discussion but dont you think its bizzare how the whole north system as been flipped on its head, and it seems to be comming from Norway/russia

Anyways back to models, I been looking at them, and that low trying to push in looks a meaty one for snowfall is dam stays low enough and the temps remain zero ish

Go to the link and scroll down. You can watch a video clip of this "thing".

No idea what it is but definitley weird! Mrmonopoly seems to think it may be related but I'm very doubtful with an open mind!

Not so incredible temps here on the Eastern Seaboard...currently -2.7c and it was colder as dusk fell.

Still expecting it to drop later in the night.

-16c here at the moment, had -17,7c at 9:10am this morning.

Its a Davis Pro 2 Plus with FARS

That's quite impressive. I'm guessing you're at a fairly decent height?

No low lying land, in a frost hollow though

Ah right. Are those record lows for you then?

-8.2C now, new record for here. Temperature still slowly dropping and just a little mist out.

May go up the Knockmealdowns tomorrow for a stroll and grab a few pics...

Radar shows snow to the North and South of me! We will get some soon but just not yet.

Currently -8 and haven't checked the minimum yet.

Bitter bitter cold !

Will update on minimum and get some pics if it starts snowing!

Netweather alert includes NI as getting some of the snow showers blowing across from Scotland!

Atlast friends

east of northern ireland - Downpatrick!

We actually have snow worth talking about - steady moderate snow currently - 1 inch so far on ground

radar says perhaps another 1-2 hours - this could be the snow event of the Winter!!

still cold at -2C which is brilliant

outlook this morning is snow on and off all week! - hope it doesn't try to rain as some of the charts kind of suggest

Snowing lightly here, but some big fluffy clumps are coming down. That makes 4 falling snow days here this week, possibly 5 if a tiny flurry is included.

My temps last night got pegged back up around 8pm, lowest mine went to was -3.4, and at somepoint last night they went up to 2.4c. It's currently 0.6c

We had some snowfall here ontop of the already frozen icy compact snow, looks to be about 2 cm and looks a bit wet. If the temp stays down today, tonight it will become extremely hazardous with ice.
