SK,

Cheers wise word's..

Only expect a small amount, yes been watching the shower's feeding down from the North East.

I think by the time today is out we just might get some decent shower's :whistling:

To be honest i'd be pretty happy if we saw several hours of it falling like it did last night from the shower that got down to here and gave another covering!

Looking more and more serious next week with the gritting situation the way it is as the atlantic makes an attempt

SK

The good news is Tuesday now has Gloucestershire in the advisory area :drinks:

"UK regions:

Wales

South West England

Heavy Snow Tue 12 Jan

There is a moderate risk of severe weather affecting many parts of Wales and SW England.

There is potential for further outbreaks of snow developing later on Tuesday. Snow will become heavy and prolonged in places and there will be drifting in strong winds. There will also be further icy stretches on roads and pavements.

Issued at: 1236 Sat 9 Jan"

AND WEDS TOO!

OK so I think what is going to happen is a band of precipitation will move up from the SW, falling as snow, getting as far inland as West Mids, stalling, then retreating back, perhaps rain/freezing rain for a time in some areas.

Very interesting Met office update

The biggest clue to the face the SW would be in line for the heavier falls is the wednesday warning:

"There is potential for further outbreaks of snow on Wednesday, this snow spreading slowly eastwards. Snow will be heavy and prolonged in places at first"

And to think about this logically after being heavy at times on tuesday and heavy at times AT FIRST on wednesday, its spreading from the SW, where are the heaviest falls likely :drinks:

coincidentally though, my cat just said the same, so we now have the Met Office trumped.

seriously, she sits on the kitchen window, with this look on her face , 's**t, i am NOT going out there!'
