I hope no-one minds, but I'm starting a new thread for this- there are a lot of wintry precip reports around the forum, and in the meantime, unbelievably and unforecastedly, it's snowing in Lancaster.

Same here, I was in my bed and missed most of it

Some people in my dads work couldnt make it in, he works up in East Kilbride which is quite high up.

2 massive showers just pased to the south/SW of me with sheet hail by the looks of things. I think the next 3-6 hours could be quite interesting in the NW England area!

Had 2 lightish hailshowers over the past 30 mins.

Looks like the showers are now reaching the west-midlands as we have just had a fairly heavy hail showers, with another shower already heading over us. Looks like an interestng evening for some heavy showers!!! :lol:

An uncharacteristically showery day for the infamous strip of Tyneside coastline where my home address lies- we had a short sharp hailstorm which led to a partial covering at around 3pm.
