Maybe the heavier bursts will turn it back to snow.

I think any light PPn for me will be rain from now on unless these temps drop off!

Will it or won't it? I think close but, no cigar unfortunately...

Right time for bed, early start :(

Fingers crossed for the next few days!

Evening all,

Thought I'd pop across from southern central thread as everyone has gone to bed I think! Just started lightly snowing in Horndean (which is about 6 miles north of Portsmouth).

Just had a covering here - very heavy for a while :)

The NAE shows a blizzard for tuesday, with 2m temps holding nicely - the ukmo absorbs the low and brings in mild, both the GFS and ecm slide it to our SW, keeping us in a cold SE'ly. My money is on the second solution given GFS's consistency in recent runs and agreement with the european model. We'll see hey..

Interesting times! :(

Thanks Biggie! I can't complain as I spent new year in the midlands where it snowed, came back and two days later it snowed again and we had 8 inches from Tuesday's event which is rare down here!!

Welcome from Horndean. I used to have an Aunt living there. Very wintry up here in Stroud tonight. Started snowing around 11.00pm and we already have an additional 2cm or so. It's settling on everything and on top of the 10cm or so still left from last week.

Hi Musician - most of my family live here on the south coast so we've all been spoilt this week!
