I just drove up the road to Bishopston via Murton, and was very suprised to see a 1cm - 2cm covering of fresh snow on all surfaces with drifts of over 3cm. This was not there this morning at about 11am. Even a good sprinkling on the beach at Caswell.

i can see something coming in on meto radar but their forecast is`nt saying much.hope it is snow although it looks light on radar .

ah ok so that explains it showing as grey then within a minute showing yellow/orange!! so anyone got updates on where this band is exactly now and is it still snow?

just looking at the (yellow/orange band) then its not far away 35-45 minutes perhaps? can we rely on raintoday even though its showing different colour, just as a means of tracking it? also i noticed the band seems to have joined another band coming from the east now so its looking a lot thicker?

it is moving wnw - so it may run out of front for some of south wales unfortunately - this one is a bonus mind you - the main course will be tuesday into wednesday i think
