Well a lot of very very heavy rain for us next week then; pretty much nailed on now so I'm finally stopping my snowsearch and will return to these forums when the weather gets interesting again (thunderstorms anyone?). Midlands look like they're going to get our early January episode and then some this week, lucky things!

Yes the low on the sat picture is quite a bit south past the channel and heading East so it looks like we are catching the back end as colder air is pulled down from the North

A rain/sleet/graupel mix on the way from Reading to work this morning - here in Basingstoke it's now turned to snow. It's probably too wet on the ground for the snow to settle, but the snow's getting heavier so who knows...

Cheers Yamkin, ECM is hinting at it and I feel others are leaning in. With the threat of a low running alog the channel for the weekend maybe things could get interesting.

VERY wet in CS region in the last week, I'd love to know how much rainfall there has been down here in the last 7 days, some places have probably pushed 100mm I'd imagine!

Chichester is very wet right now, the ground is totally soaked, getting similar to what it was like in November/early December now!
