ooooooooh these barmy hot nights on the holiday isle!!!! 2.5oc on the isladn still!! mind you -0.8 in the windchill dew point -0.5oc soil 1.1 might there still be a sneak of a chance for us??????

there is definitely almost inperceptibally light sleety stuff here, but even outside it was a bit of a strain to see it!

On the south west thread, one of the more experienced posters said that there was quite an intense band retaining strength heading for Central Southern areas/Hampshire etc about midnight - not sure what will come out of the sky though!

Apparently the Quay radio (Portsmouth local radio) are saying that heavy snows on its way but I don't know where they get their info from lol!

Sleet in Southampton. It's much warmer than it was, though. Ice underfoot on the way out with the dog was slush on the way back half an hour later

hmmm.i was of the view that perhaps the fronts were falling apart according to meto radar

Apparently that is exactly what happened further west. I think they had lower temps than here though, so still hoping but ready for diasappointment.
