Where is this information coming from? The zone that has been most consistent so far, out of every zone is that South East Corner of Wales running around the periphery into Gloucester area arching into much of Wiltshire and parts of Bristol. That is my take on the evolution thus far and unless I see some change in this bias, that is where I will stick my money.

I'm just quoting what i saw on news24 weather forecast at 17:57, so the MetO i guess.

LOL. It hasn't happened yet! I'm going to be looking at the NAE and the GFS as they come out.

Might go to bed now actually (at a record early time). Really tired after last week's insane weather watching, back to school tomorrow too...

Richard just said 2-5cm for somerset bristol area!?

Thats not heavy...

Im confused.pardon.gif

M. This is consistent with what i saw on News24 weather at 17:57. It looked like south Somerset, parts of Devon, SW wales and Ireland to me - that system is progged to hit s.ireland - it's been shunted west slightly by the 'block'. well, that's my take on it.

"It's trends, dear boy, trends!"

This will be no classic, like some of us experienced in late 70s/early 80s.

EDIT: And for those posters quoting Bob 'Crapton' on HTV west, forget it - he's a broadcaster, not a weather expert!laugh.gif

In fairness I do think you have had your fair share compared to us down here, I've only seen a few measly flakes this winter.

You even had a small top up last night that went round us AGAIN.

Stop being so greedy and let some of us have some fun

haha a never last min let down whistling.gif oh well its only weather .

Well, it hasn't happened yet! But, i 'fear' for those of us in the northern part of this thread...and that includes BTL.

It will be good to see Ian's thoughts later,if he's available.

EDIT: Mr Angwin's forecast better, but this REALLY does seem to be a nowcast event for some of us tomorrow. I'm sure the detail will change - downgrades or upgrades? Still in the lap of mother nature - thankfully!whistling.gif

Latest ITV forecast showed the snow not even reaching Dorset. It seems to me that this event is going downhill by the hour. At this rate to see the snow im going to hae to drive down to Lands end. Who the hell dya believe?

South Today showed heavy snow for Dorset, but it seemed the snow will begin later than first thought. Looking into the evening hours before first snowfall now. :D
