Yup, sure is up here... its looking rather interesting.

Good news on the Plymouth snow!

Thats excellent news, the further west the reports of snow the better.

Do you think it will hang around this area all night and into tomorrow? Better get my video camera

out this evening, just in case. Not seen a proper blizzard for years! :D

Pity it's all going to melt by Saturday, but with over 1 week of snow on the ground, this spell has

been amazing :D

Snowing heavy here atm, started as rain at 1pm @ 2.8deg now 1.7deg and dropping. Think will take a while to settle (if at all) as ground is very wet. am 138m asl btw.

Precisely the area that I've been harping on about for a while - so far panning out as expected, snow generally away from Cornwall - they've removed the orange here and limited the Eastern extent to Devon - this turning to snow to lower levels before back to rain after clearance associated with weakening PPN. Good falls across Dartmoor/Exmoor and these moving into much of the West Country.

TC What time is it due to turn to rain up here? Would like to be able to try and get out of the village tomorrow.

Thanks

Jase

This is to be expected its the shortwave developing, this will run east, it means that rather than having a short period of snow the front will slow so favoured areas could get quite alot.

Yes, maybe. The shortwave was mentioned last night on various forums. The northerly/northeasterly track is still evident on the looping radar images at present.

It's better news for the South coast, because the precip is heavy than expected, dragging the snow down to lower levels, still touch and go though for south dorset. Again the news from plymouth is good news as well for you.

I'm at work in Truro at the moment and it's really raining very hard at the moment with just the odd bit of sleet. I guess as this moves further east then it's going to be great for a nice whiteout, just a darn shame we down in the far west are going to miss out on this.

Currently very good.

Will just have to watch the radars.

- See how far east it moves

- See if the PPN increases or fizzles out.

Dogs, I bet the PPn splits and goes east and west of us.
