Graupel- absolutely chucking it down here Leeds city centre.

Should have a 'drying' easterly wind picking up though early next week according to BBC forecast. They are also going for 0c maxima come Wednesday

Since the rain started during last night we've had over an inch making this month's total rainfall 85mm so far (snow totals taken from NW radar accumulation facility).

So much for the forecast saying it would clear by early afternoon, it's still raining steadily now!

The max of 9.3c makes today the mildest since 10 Dec! At present it's 8.8c.

The rain became moderate during the morning and continued in to the afternoon, producing around 17mm according to the AWS by 15:00GMT.
