How do you mean? Is this thing better than the small one on the met office website? Does it detect mizzle? What about mog? I'm looking for a high resolution mog and mizzle detector solution. Cost isn't a factor, I just need it , like yesterday

It's already there - just click the scale type menu on the top left and select it from there :D

Avast antivirus wont let me view the radar. It says there is a trojan horse in the web page download. Any idea's?

It's a false positive - you should be able to tell avast that it's safe - there's only images trying to download nothing else.

Avast isnt having it.. made an exception and it still wont let me view the radar. Anyone else with avast finding the same thing? Its always let me on in the past

Karl tested earlier with Avast and didn't have an issue, so perhaps there's something else on your pc causing the issue - worth doing a full scan to check I would think.

I experienced the same problem- quite bizarre really, I think the 19:10 and 19:15 radar updates temporarily had no lightning activity, but it started working again after that and the lightning strikes for 19:10 and 19:15 have since appeared.

There are upgardes coming to the rainfall radar in Shannon airport over the next month. Any chance this could result in the south of Ireland getting updates every 5 minutes now instead of every 15?

Yep, another beta not too far off. ;)

Have new additional colours been added to the NW new scale Paul?

When will the new beta be out.

Regards,

Rob

Love the new beta version although for stability I still mostly use v4.

Is it possible to incorporate a postcode finder? For example just now I wanted to zoom into Brecon on v4 and have to first find the postcode on the web. I do realise that v5 has a map though so perhaps no real need with the new version.

Also, at present there is no scale as on v4 as to what colour mean what amounts of rain.

Thanks.

Paul, I personly think that smothing would be better than that black line, if not could you alow us to still use V4 when V5 is fully out?

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall. It doesn't rain very often here like other desert areas, but like the deadly floods in Libya last year showed, these rain events are likely becoming more extreme due to global warming.
