Not confident of getting snow, i think it'll be rain when it reaches here.

Radar shows precip over me.. bone dry

Happened to me earlier, didn't start snowing till 4:30Pm when light/moderate PPN was over me since 3:30PM

Whats your temp?

Should be snow mate, been rather heavy for the last 5-10mins and looking at the NW Extra radar it looks like a Bullseye for the really heavy stuff here :cc_confused:

Think it was doing that (showing precip when it was a half hour+ behind) as it crossed the country.

Got a very nice layer of snow here now, past 2cm's on the fields.

Well frontal snow can still happen. First decent attempt for about 13 years. Only problem is that the front is moving fairly fast so it shouldn't last long.

And temps are on the rise at Buxton

Coming down nicely here there were three cars getting stuck just down from our house. Guess they couldn't drive as everyone else has gone straight up.

Hi mate, temp is 1.8c with a dew point of -1.4 with a lot of cloud cover

I was keeping an eye on that and it looks like the heavier echo is shifting NE'wards, bulls eye for both of us.

Congrats :) fingers crossed i see something, although i don't think it will settle, wet bulb 0.7c unless temp drops when the precip hits. Can anyone report a drop of temp during the snow? if so by how much. thanks

One of the rare times that the heavy stuff appears over us instead of going around.

LOL netweather thinks it's rain. Duff radar.

Snowing moderately here, the PPN should have passed by now. Cant imagine anywhere getting above 5cm, south Yorkshire look to be doing the best with the heavier PPN, probably 5cm in South Yorkshire, 3cm In West/North West Yorkshire and 2cm in east Yorkshire.

nice heavy snow here. am i right in thinking rain may come after and wash it away?

I doubt it, even though I'm further north the temp is still dropping here even though I'm on the eastern edge of the precipitation it is still snow.

Agree with all estimations accept for the East Yorkshire one, places in East Yorkshire will be lucky to get 0.5cm-1cm

It was 2.6oC when the band hit us today and snow fell straight away. In the space of about twenty minutes however, the temperature dropped to about 0.9oC.

Just about finished now so I'll be out in a bit to shovel it away.

Snowing lightly now, just measured the snow. 3cm on the ground and 5cm on the grass. Overall a disappointment, I was hoping for at least 5cm on the ground.
