After some snow showers yesterday evening it was clear and very cold overnight with a strong moonlight and a low of -5.4c briefly, then had some snow showers again this morning though its currently dry, mostly cloudy, hazy and 0.4c

Certainly a colder start this morning compared to yesterday with frost lingering well into the late morning away from sun bathed areas. Some sheltered spots have maintained the frost all day. Maximum temp of just about 3 degrees, which once again quickly fell to freezing as the sun went down. Tonight could be colder than last night, not expecting any cloud cover to move in until early morning at the earliest.

This weekend will have done wonders for the sunshine totals this month, after an exceptionally sunny start, the last 2 weeks have seen well below average sunshine levels.

Heavy and prolonged snow showers 0730-0900 giving a fresh 4cm covering (total up to 5cm on the lawn as a thin cover was left over from yesterday in the shade).

Mostly cloudy today, some brief wintry showers, with a few sunny intervals after 1400. Light to moderate W/NW breeze. Rather cold, steady thaw this afternoon.

A couple of brief but heavy hail showers this evening have whitened over the patchy remaining snow cover. Also clear spells and a ground frost this evening.
