Thick white frost on roads, pavements and cars. Water, frozen in pot holes, is shattering like glass and sparkling like diamonds in the early morning sun, as the cars stumble from hole to hole.

After a cold night with a moderate frost, the day dawned cloudy with a few light snow flakes, producing only a very light dusting. Low 3.0c, and 7.5c on the grass. At observation, overcast with a few light snow flakes. A mostly dry and cloudy morning followed, though with bright spells. The afternoon saw sunny spells as the cloud began to clear away, cold, maximum temperature 2.5c. Maximum wind gust, 18mph, NNW. The evening quickly became frosty.

Got down to -1.7°C last night which helped to retain the snowcover after a very slow thaw yesterday as temps rose to +4.4°C . Still have around 8cm, deeper out of direct sunlight/wind.

Cirrostratus clouds but thin enough for the sun to shine through and able to cast shadows

Temperature 2.6°C, Dp at -1.2°C, surface winds SW at 4mph.

The roads in Bedfordshire this morning were sheet ice. Although we had no snow last night I think snow would have provided some grip! Thank god my car is front wheel drive as the back wheels were going at 90 degrees to the front two wheels. Even the main roads were a crawl this AM!

A glorious and mostly sunny day with the max being 5.3c after a very white hoar frost this morning after a min of -0.6c.

It's cloudier at present and radar suggests some snow flurries in the area, currently 3.4c with 79% humidity.

1 inch of snow overnight 2 inches overall in the shade,and a few snow showers early on,followed by quite a thick altostratus for most of the day max of 3.3c only a slow thaw today with a west wind.
