Further rain moderate at times continued through the morning. The afternoon saw a few bright spells interspersed with intermittent drizzle. Much milder than recently, top temperature 8.1c. The early evening saw further showery rain accompanied by a sharp drop in temperature. Maximum wind gust 18mph SW.

Been snowing heavily here since approx 9am... And sticking too, thanks to a sharp frost overnight. Really wasn't expecting this, having been so caught up in the "Pest from the West" versus the "Beast from the East" tussle on the models.

Today has been very dull and increasingly misty/now foggy with showery rain/drizzle and even some brief wet snow around 08.00. after being cold until around 14.00 the temperature is still rising at 7.3c and humidity is 97%!

Misty with rain all day, occasionally heavy. At work in Basingstoke there was some sleet mixed in with the rain around 0900. Current conditions: patchy mist with light rain, 4.8 deg C, wind light SW. Today's maximum 6.2, last night's minimum 2.9.
