A notably cold day with temperatures stuggling after a low of -5 to creep much above freezing. Cloud quickly rolled in and trapped the cold air at the surface layer which was crucial for allowing precipitation to fall as snow.

It has the feeling of snow in the air all day, one of those classic warm front moving into cold air situations, pity the amount of snow was very small, but still a proper mid winters day.

A clear and frosty start this morning with a min temp of -2.6C gave way to a sunny winter's day. It then turned overcast during the afternoon with some heavy snow in the evening which has given a covering of half a centimeter or so. Very cold overall with a max temperature of 1.9C.

Currently 0.9C with a dewpoint of -0.1C and a slow thaw of the snow on concrete surfaces.
