Was woken up by the thundersnow in the night! PC stuffed, just had to do a complete install of windows. 8" and it's still snowing here in Folkestone, right down in the town too! No traffic outside... just piles of beautiful snow! Photos to follow now the pc is working again!

I stayed at my parents last night just south of Ashford and thought I would be snowed in, a good 3-4 inches, however i braved the snow covered back lanes at 6.30 this morning and drove back via the M20 to Tunbridge Wells were there is nothing, zilch!! Glad I went east to see it. Yet the poster from Hawkhurst not far away says they have lots of snow, Tunbridge Wells just outside the snow showers stream over last 12 hrs looking at the 12 hrs accumulations.

Still snowing here in Folkestone. A surreal sight as I went along the shops to get the papers. Cars abandoned, people walking on the main road. Unbelievable. Images of my childhood are coming back. If only I didn't have to be at work!

Here's some photos from my walk to the shops here in Folkestone earlier.

For those of you who know Folkestone, this is around the bottom of Dover Hill.

Folkestone now trending on twitter! Bugger!

Hi, I'm from Canterbury where they speak english. Could you please translate?

Snowy Bob, we joined NW on the same day. We are NW twins, now we must never speak of this again...
