A mainly dry day with sunny intervals, just one short light-moderate snow shower mid-afternoon. Most of this morning's snow cover had thawed by about 1300 and now there are just small patches of snow lying in areas out of direct sunshine.

Rain all day, heavy at times, with a hint of sleet in it this evening. Haven't had a dry day here since the middle of last week. Current conditions: moderate rain, 2.8 deg C, wind moderate SW. Today's maximum 5.6, last night's minimum 0.8.
