They are? I've not seen anything yet, even from a couple of days ago when there were strikes around Yorkshire :whistling:

Ive noticed that when folk are saying there are lightning strikes around they are never or rarely shown on the lightning chart. Is it just me? The date is fine etc etc just never shows strikes that members say they have seen.

Not all strikes will show as for a strike to show it has to have it's position verified by at least 2 of the stations in the network. The advantage of this is that the strike maps are much more accurate, the pay off for that is that on occasion a valid strike won't be shown.

You're right, although the v5 beta radar is plotting some lightning it's not plotting all of it - will mark it as a bug so it'll hopefully be fixed for the next release.

The buttons for the last 24 hour strikes and lightning density don't seem to be working on the lightning detector.

Is it just me or is there a problem? I've tried Ctrl + F5.

Unsure if it doesn't work or anything, but there has been a few flashes in my area over the past hour and the radar hasn't picked up on any?

Because the system relies on 2 or more detectors to detect the strike and triangulate it's position, it will sometimes miss weak and isolated lightning.

Oh ok, thank you Paul. :)

Screw my post. After I said that it's picked up on them.

My Syncom lightning feed is constantly probing and the lightning detector is stuck on the 13th at 20:19 .
