*JUST* about starting to settle, and that's after probably 10 minutes of heavy snow with huge flakes. Much more of a struggle than i expected.

Still sleety rain here. I have a nasty feeling that the cold will get here after the precipitation has (at least mostly) gone. I may be just that bit too far to the west, but we'll see.

Back to rain here, and lots of it too!

Right am off to take my rabble to the dentist. They hoped it would be snowed off but there's a bigger risk of flooding I think!

Nope the weather wants us to have rain or sleet again. Come on!

Lol, your going to have 10,000 posts by the end of today Luke if it keeps changing from rain/sleet/snow!

As i said, paitence is the key, despite a wet ground, snow can settle quite quickly if the temp is below 0 so like KW said, i expect to see reports of settling snow in around the Midlands by this evening at the latest unless something dramtically changes.

OR call all the local big airports and have them take off South. A few hundred jet engines might do the trick!

More just rain now. Going to have to wait for any snow for a while.
