Upcoming Iberian Storm

BBC News weather forecast just mentioned the upcoming deep low pressure that will be affecting Portugal & Galicia on Saturday, and then Northern France & Southern England.

It's very odd for them to mention a storm impacting Iberia; no doubt the recent storm in Madeira has made this more in the public interest.

But it looks like things could get rather hairy from Lisbon to A Coruña at the weekend.

I don't think it's odd that it is being mentioned since it may affect the UK at some point. My brother-in-law's family may bear the brunt of this; they live in northern Portugal and have family in Madeira too. He'll be glad to be stuck in Scotland with our rubbish weather :whistling:
