Yeah its great.

Went for a meal next to the severn a few months back and the place emptied out while it came passed.

The chefs put everything on hold while everyone went out to see it pass.

The Severn Bore is one of the only predictable tideal waves in the world. It is bought about by the moon and tides and in Glostershire there are timetables to tell you what time and what day it will occur. I have grown up knowing about it and have seen it a few times it is a really good thing to see. It is a shame that the boats tend to break the wave up when they pick up surgers and go over the wave to drop them in the water in front of it.

It makes a nosie as it passes by and then the river levels rise slowly and the area i have watched it floods. This area is a local area where not many tourists visit but we have bacon rolls and tea if the bore is in the morning served by the local church. All helps to make the day more fun for the children. lol

Anybody who can should go and see it whilst it is still there as there is talk of building something in the mouth of the severn estuary to prevent it as i think the farmers are worried about flooding on the fields or something like that so if that happens it will no be here for much longer.
