Number Of Occasions With "easterly" Flows

    Here's a couple of tables that I stumbled across on the number of occasions that the wind had an easterly component for the months January to May from 1877 to 1887

    The first table is by Joseph Paget from Mansfield, Notts.

    Interesting that there is no obvious evidence of the weather becoming more "easterly" in nature as January gave way to February, as was often the case in the twentieth century- the change instead happened into March.
