Dry and sunny with no cloud-a few bits of contrails-min was 1.4C with very little wind at the moment, I expect there has been a ground frost but there is/was little sign of it on cars etc.

Yesterday:

Large amounts of cloud overnight prevented the temperature from falling lower than 3.7c. At observation, after a few bright spells earlier, now cloudy with a shower threatening, feeling much milder than of late. Light showers followed shortly after the observation and a few continued through to the afternoon. The were a few brighter spells, but were short lived, top temperature 8.4c, maximum wind gust, 18mph NW.

A frost to start but then mainly cloudy all day with intermittent showers, some of which were heavy and quite gusty around lunchtime. A very different day.

Yet another sunny dry morning after another air frost - got down below -2 degrees early this morning and currently 6 degrees, so a very good chance of seeing our first double digit day, we have come very very nearly close to 10 degrees over the last 4 days.

Hopefully the cloud won't creep in during the day.

Looking at rainfall statistics this has been a very very dry start to March we have only recorded 0.1 inches of rain so far and we are nearly half way through the month, though it does look like we are going to see a bit more rain in the next few days.

Clear periods overnight allowed a slight air frost in the garden but the breeze kept the temp' to 0.6c at the site a bit higher up. It was a sunny start to the morning but stratus spread from the north west by 0815 and it's been cloudy since then. Temp' is now up to 4.8c.

Mean wind speed at 0900 was 17 mph W but it's now 24 mph NW.

Warmest day of the year so far here! and mostly sunny. Temp max of 11.7°C about 10 minutes ago but the wind then suddenly switched from the NNW to the SSE and the temp has dropped to 10.6°C now. Slight increase in humisity too.. looks like a sea breeze!
