April has become a month that along with many other months of the year, has often been very warm in recent years, the 2000s averaged 9.0*C. It is now 21 years (1989) since the last significantly below average April. In the last 20 years, only 1998, 2000 and 2001 have managed to be even marginally below the average.

I get the feeling that this April will be a slightly below average month, with some possible cold weather to start off the month.

As such, my estimate would be an overall temperature of 7.5*C (similar to sufc). cool.gif

With your predictions the cooling trend would have been over in November 2006

8.6C. Cold with some snow for some early in the month (possibly coinciding with Easter yet again!) and then warmer in the second half.

 More like the day he was born (all 9 years ago) the cooling trend was over :)

He went for 10C for March very wrong and now is going for 12C for April, will be very wrong again, i think he wants the world record for most wrong CET guesses ;)

A warm one but not quite record-breaking. Will be to April 1987 the way this January was to that year's.

6.9 C for me ... frequent volcanic ash falls ... snow at odd times ... the land desolate and deserted ... famine in the cities ... despair and gloom at CRU.

Wow i really cant see anything that high at all, if GFS 12Z is only right for the first week your CET forecast would already be bust unless we record almost recording breaking CET's for weeks and the chances of that are zero, another near average to slightly below average month at the highest range, roger could be nearly correct even.
